How the Revolution began ...
In 2010, Thom's band (TNB) played a concert on the southside of Chicago at Mike's bar (Trio). Over a few drinks after the show, Mike talked about starting a clothing line and offered to sponsor Thom's band. The idea was to print shirts for TNB at no cost to the band. TNB could sell the shirts at concerts and keep a percentage of the profits. Sounds like a sweet deal, right?
TNB had a fun summer tour and showed off the shirts on the WGN in front of a few million people but that was only the beginning. Thom wanted to start a revolution ...
If TNB could be sponsored, what about other indie musicians and artists? This is the foundation of R5ive. We sponsor independent artists by giving them an outlet to create custom clothes. We're giving power to the indie artist. This is Revolution 5ive.
